I have to wonder how some lawsuits even make it into the courtroom in the first place to be thrown out. Some lady tried to sue Quaker claiming that she was misled into buying Captain Crunch for years under the belief that "crunchberries" were real fruit. Notice the note at the end how the same woman previously tried to sue because "Fruit Loops" don't contain real fruit either.... Seriously, lawsuits like this should land the plaintiff in jail. _________________ Elizabeth: There will come a time when you have the chance to do the right thing.

"According to Stuff Christians Like, there’s no “exact scripture reference” banning normal hugging. But the Side-Hug does significantly lower the “risk of two crotches touching,” which has got to be in the Bible somewhere."
No risk of touching crotches? :p Where's the fun in that? _________________ There are two borders in the world today that are not being crossed illegally. "which has got to be in the Bible somewhere"
*bangs head against wall*
Maybe I should create my own denomination based on stuff that's got to be in the Bible somewhere. I mean, hell, in today's modern world, nobody's really got time to read a book (i.e., the Internet made out of trees) that long in type that small. It doesn't even have ClearType!
After all, if people will believe that the Bible bans things without an exact scripture reference... _________________ The Freelance Wizard (@FreelanceWizard)

I find it interesting that the contents of the Bible itself are often taught, and therefor taken, entirely on faith. If a church leader says "The Bible Says So", many congregation members will take it as a matter of faith that that leader knows whereof they speak.
Then they, themselves, will forward that information the same way. Thus, the Bible becomes something of a faith object, bordering almost on the ironically idolatrous in its own right. People won't say "God says so.", they'll say "It's all right there in the Book."
Things to think about.

Well, while we're on the subject, I always love when I get into a debate with a Christian over inconsistencies and such in the Bible, and they end up coming out with "Well, you just think that because you don't really understand the Bible".
Really, now? I spent every morning in high school in Bible study classes.... Yeah, they're right. There's no way I could understand the book. Obviously, since I don't agree with it. I mean, anyone who understands it HAS TO agree with it, right? _________________ Elizabeth: There will come a time when you have the chance to do the right thing.

Well I'm still here and I think I'm gonna reroll my AR blaster alt as a dual pistol. It just seems really too neat to pass on _________________ Chris : “The old man was right, only the farmers won. We lost. We'll always lose.” |

As NDAs don't apply to raccoons, I can safely tell you that I'm in the APB beta. So far it looks really, really cool. Lots of customization options, which is a must these days. Only downside I can see right now is that it needs a ton of memory -- 4gb as a minimum requirement. Old school windows people are reporting they can play with 2gb or so, with the settings real low. Still, it's not completely optimized, so that'll probably change with time.
Will this distract me more than usual from my various games? Probably not. I'm distracted from my distractions quite easily you see. _________________ There are two borders in the world today that are not being crossed illegally. All Points Bulletin MMO. Cops vs robbers (or Enforcers vs Criminals, as per the game). I'm loving it until it gets down to certain fire fights. The cops have cheap stun weapons that leave you slumped over until they can run up and "arrest" you, which basically keeps you from respawning for a long period of time unless a teammate comes and cuts you loose. Then the SMGs are all powerful at all ranges, making the sniper rifles and such kind of useless (and wouldn't you know I'd sink all of my character's money into one?). Still... beta. Annoying... but beta. _________________ There are two borders in the world today that are not being crossed illegally.
